Zoom, Zoom, Zoom is what we all like to hear and a great place to experience the sights and sounds of racing Miatas is at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma.  Mark your calendars for September 5th for an exciting day. 

Our host is the SCCA-SFR (Sports Car Club of America – San Francisco Region) whose coordinator will lead us on a tour of Infineon Raceway while explaining all the various operations required for a professional racing event featuring cars of all classes. This is the same track that John Force, Jimmie Johnson, Hector Aranas, Ron Capps, Dario Franchitti and many others have raced on.  Guess what?  On Sept. 5th you get to drive your own Miata on the same track following the SCCA Pace Car.  Following that exhilarating experience, you will enjoy a delicious lunch in the air conditioned LUXURY Skyboxes atop the grandstands.  After lunch, you are free to tour the track on your own, visit with some race crews in the paddock area and ask questions, take some photos, or watch some more races at your own pace or drive home while reliving the day’s events.

9:00 – 9:30 AM              Arrive and park as directed

10:00 – 10:30 AM          Sign in with Race administration and get wristbands

10:30 – 12:00 AM          Tour of the Infineon Raceway facilities, grandstands, timing and scoring, grid, tech, etc.

12:00 – 12:30 AM          DMC Miata parade laps following the SCCA Pace Car

12:30 – 1:30 PM            Lunch in the air conditioned Luxury Skyboxes atop the grandstands

1:30 – 4:00 PM              Free to roam Infineon Raceway, visit race crews, take photos, watch races, etc.

Directed Parking
All parking at Infineon Raceway is directed into the facility by raceway personnel. Directed parking allows for maximum use of space and improved traffic flow into the facility. Please follow the direction of the parking staff as you enter/exit the facility.
