Mazda Corral Plan For Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca
The Miata's At Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca
event continues to grow and add new activities. Of course, one of the main
attractions of the event is the hot laps on a world famous track. But the event
is more than that. Here's some information Rick Weldon just shared with those
that are already signed up:
One of our specific goals at this year's event is to make it as inclusive as
possible to the broadest group of interests. While the core of the event itself
is focused at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, this isn't just another track day for
track junkies only. We want to have something there for all Miata enthusiasts.
With the exception of the Banquet (which costs only $45 per person) everything
below -- and an event t-shirt and sticker -- are included in your $35 fee. A
pretty darn good deal........
Welcome/Meet & Greet BBQ
For those coming to the pre-event check-in (same place as last year -- in the
pre-convene area at Embassy Suites -- 6pm to 9pm Friday evening) we'll be
holding a huge BBQ at the same time out in the hotel parking lot next to our own
roped-off Miata Only parking area. Free to all registered drivers and
participants. There will also be a Pin Swap running concurrently inside the
hotel near event check-in.
Banquet
Starting to sell out faster as we approach the event. We started with 250 seats
available -- check out the list to see who's signed up. It's mid February....
Event Sponsors/Vendors
Lots of cool stuff going on here. Keep checking back at the website, as we keep
adding more:
- Moss Motors
is giving away a $500 shopping spree.
- Ohlins/P R Motorsports/
Group Photo
Plan on being in this year's huge group photo at the track. During lunch on
Saturday.
Fun Drive
Hosted by the Bay Area Miata Association -- for those of you who want to go for
an organized drive of the area. Run by people who do a great job. Starts
immediately after the Group Photo. Contact BAMA for details/signup.
Parade Laps
We'll be holding parade laps of the track during lunch hour Sunday. Not one or
two laps -- but the entire hour of lapping. Take pictures, take friends for a
ride. (Safe speeds will be enforced. Drivers must be registered Participants)
Car Show
Sponsored by Oak Tree Mazda. Still working out the details -- but we do need 3
volunteers to help out with the judging. Please contact me if you're interested.
Special guests
We've added more -- check 'em out. Turns out there are a lot of very interesting
folks coming to the event (but you already knew that).

attend, visit the event website:

Registration now open
This is Miata-only event and had a huge turnout last year.
I expect the turnout to be even bigger this year! Even if you are just visiting
or signed up as a participant, there is lots of fun to be had just hanging out
with other Miata enthusiasts. There will be some vendors, plus lots of Miata's
to check out.
