MiataFun - Fun - Fun, that’s the name of the game. We have had some really great times so far this year with our Miata friends and Clubs.
August
8/27/04 Yosemite by Moonlight Run: For the second year Marna Wood of SOCALM is taking a load of Miata's thru some of the most beautiful parts of California. The Yosemite Valley at night and up to Glacier Point where they will be able to look down upon the valley with the Granite walls glowing in the moonlight.
The run starts at Frazier Park and departs at 11:00AM. 8/27/04 Arriving at the hotel around 5:30 then out to a Private Bar-B-Que Dinner.
Saturday 8/28/04 There are three runs planned for the day. Each about 2-3 Hrs long the first in the morning heading West on some fabulous roads, then in the afternoon East for some more fabulous roads. Then at 7:30 They all head for dinner at which time they will gather at the park for a group departure at 9:00 to head into Yosemite. Driving between the granite monoliths glowing in the full Moon. A cruise thru the park and then up to Glacier Point.
Sunday 8/29/04 We all depart around 09:00AM. Everyone heading in a different direction from the 7 Miata Clubs that enjoyed this fantastic run. For some of us we will do another (Longer) drive home back thru Yosemite and join up with the 395 heading south. Pictures will be coming so check back often.

Hearst Castle Run
9/17/04 Hearst Castle Run, again Bill Hyde will lead a group on another fun run ending up at the Hearst castle for an evening tour of the Castle. With people dressed in period costumes to heighten the effect of the good old days! Information
Scrabble-Scrabble With SAMOA
9/24-25/04 Yes again MiataFun will try and take home the Scrabble-Scrabble trophy. Last year we had a blast at this event. It is limited to 44 cars, has a car show and a Scrabble run, Like a poker run only with Scrabble tiles to make words found on the list given to you at the start of the event. The highest scrabble word wins. Our word was "Zoom" How appropriate :-). Information

Surf-n-Safari 04 Yes San Diego Miata Club is again going the extra mile in this event. October 14-17, 2004 Lots of Vendors, Lots of Miata's, Lots of fun! Games, Contests, Murder Mysteries, and Story telling. Dinners, Runs, get the idea! Sign up early, people from other states, and countries have signed up already so do not miss out on this event. We want to take a moment and thank all the people that use MiataFun.net as a place to find out what other clubs are doing and joining in on there events. That is what it is all about. Driving our cars, being seen, Sharing stories, and of course sharing our favorite places to eat!
We still have a few Miata Calendars left incase you would like to have an ALL MIATA Calendar to hang in your office, home or garage to look at while you relax or work! For $17.00 we will mail one to you or you can pick one up at one of the activities we are present at for $15.00.
