Feb 22 Sun
Ever thought about leading an event, but just wasn't sure how to put it
on?
Well, now's your chance! Join us for a day of fun, learning the ins and outs of
staging our most popular events -- Fun Runs. We'll start by locking in a theme,
then pulling maps and computer software (optional) and mapping the run. Laying
out some directions will be next and finally we'll actually do a pre-run, ending
up somewhere for a late lunch.
Topics will include run rules and regs, and
radio usage. Restaurant or
attraction reservations, money collection (if necessary), RSVPs, instruction
preparation, and leader's driving tips will be covered as well. This is open for
individuals and couples who might want to lead an event, or just brush up on
some rusty skills.
Meet us at American River College, 4700 College Oak Dr. Parking Lot "B" (North East end of Campus on Myrtle Dr.) at 9:00 sharp! Bring writing materials, clipboard, and your maps. Make sure to put this one on your calendar!!!!
