The annual search for fun continues at the Madonna Inn for this three day, days of fun run. Leave early Saturday morning and return Monday. Reserve the room you want by going on-line at http://madonnainn.com and select your room. Then call Barbara in group reservations to see if your choice is available and finalize your reservation.

This year instead of a banquet, Saturday will be a free night. Sunday will include the Morro Bay Car show and dinner at McClintocks. We will be driving some of the best roads on the central California coast. For details contact Steve or Laurie Waid.

May 7th through May 9th of 2005 will be the 7th year in a row that Miata's have swarmed San Luis Obispo County searching for Madonna.  What are we searching for you ask?  FUN!  Each year we have found it, but we also always leave wanting more.  The Fabulous Madonna Inn is our headquarters for this 3 day and 2 night adventure.  As a Searcher you can expect to drive nearly 1000 miles during the Search (We are a Driving Club, you know).  You can expect to Eat in great quality and quantity (We are an Eating Club, you know).  You can expect to see lots of great cars besides our Miata's at the Morro Bay car show (We are a Car Club, you know).  And, you can expect to laugh and spin yarns with your fellow Miataphiles (That is our Mission Statement, you know).

All of this AND the Madonna Inn.  The Madonna Inn known for it's 109 unique rooms is much of the fun.  Our annual room hopping evening to see what rooms each Searcher has selected has become the most anticipated part of the Search.  Coupled with a banquet, fun runs, the trips to and from the Inn, and the Car Show, the Search for Madonna annually returns some tired but happy travelers to their respective homes...anticipating the next Search.

How do you become a Searcher for 2005.  It is easy...and fun.  Go to the Madonna in website, www.madonnainn.com and click on the "109 Unique Rooms" button.  Browse through the rooms and select you top three choices to reserve.  Then call the Madonna Inn at (800) 543-9666 and ask for group reservations, Barbara, and tell her you are with the Miata club.  Give her your first choice and she will see if it is available, and if it isn't go with #2 and so on.  After confirming your room, please notify Steve Waid of your room name and number.  Then, just wait.  The anticipation will become almost unbearable after a few months, but May 7th is not THAT far away.

Remember to become a Searcher, follow the 4 easy steps.

  1.. Go on-line to www.madonnainn.com and look through the 109 unique rooms.  Make a selection of your top three choices (some may already be reserved).
  2.. Call the Madonna Inn, 800-543-9666, and ask for Barbara in group reservations.  Mention Miata Club and then let her help you reserve your room.
  3.. Call or email Steve Waid at 760-432-0727, swaid@cox.net with your room name and number.
  4.. Sit back and wait for the "super-secret" emails to begin informing you of the details of one of the most fabulous 3 days you will ever have.
