"The" tour of Yosemite
Sharon Mack has succeeded with one of
the most unique tours that I have ever been on in Yosemite. Then again I never
did it get to see Glacier Point and the best view of Half Dome and Yosemite
Valley (Birds-eye view)! And to have a private tour guide and learn so much
about one of the biggest living things on our planet. If you missed it I hope
you enjoy the pictures, of course they do not do justice of the beauty of seeing
it in person. I'm glad we were asked to join on this festive occasion.

Here we arrive at the gate to Yosemite and group up to head into the neatest,
and most beautiful of mountain roads

This was our own private tour guide for the day.

We were told about the different trees and how the forest survived on three
things. Sunlight, Rain, and Fire. The large arm at the middle of the tree above
was at least 7 feet across, just to give you an idea of the size of the tree.
This one is called
"The Grizzly Giant"

Here are some pictures of a tree hollowed out to be able to drive thru.
Only thing there was no road to get our Miata's to it!

Here is a shot of the "tree blood" the sap is red and looks like
blood.

Unfortunately we could not all fit into the tree at once!
