A note from our Run leader after the run! Anyone looking at their calendar for August 9 & 10 and wondering what to do. Well the San Joaquin Valley Miata Club is holding a Moonlight Run into Yosemite. The hostess for the run is
Sharon Mack of SJVMC. We will begin with dinner at 8:30pm at the China
Station in Mariposa (in the shopping center where Hwy's 49 & 140 merge on
the west end of town). We will then drive via Hwy 140 to Yosemite.
We will spend a little time in the Valley, stop at the Tunnel View turn out and
then go up to Glacier point. Sharon, who works in Yosemite, says that
Yosemite by moonlight is awe inspiring. Those of us staying in Oakhurst
will leave Yosemite via Hwy 41 while Sharon and the Everyone has to arrange their own lodging. Some of us from SOCALM are staying at the Comfort Inn in Oakhurst. For those who want to Caravan north on Saturday, we will be meeting on the Cajon Pass - I-15 freeway at Hwy 138 - at the former Tiffany's Restaurant. We will leave there at 10:00am and travel Hwy 395 to Hwy 58, then through Tehachapi. We should arrive in Oakhurst in plenty of time for a rest before dinner and the main run into Yosemite. Let me know if you are definitely joining us so I can give Sharon a head count. --- Marna Wood --- 2003 Splash Green Mica So Far 8/3/2003 '10-cars'
