Hello Everyone:

Well it is a little over 3 weeks until our inaugural run to the Orange Empire Railway Museum on May 11th.  The Rosenbergs joined us last Saturday for a pre-run, and, although the scenery was not exactly exciting (can you say "brown"?), we still got the enjoyment of cruising Ortega Highway and a few Riverside County Roads (including along Lake Matthews).  This run will be rather leisurely--a total of less than 80 miles from the San Juan Capistrano Train Depot to the Museum, with one rest stop along the way. 

Feel free to bring a picnic lunch as the museum has picnic tables in a nice setting among the old railcars.  It may be rather HOT as we travel inland (it was last Saturday), so come prepared!

 Please don't forget to RSVP (smmeyersPlease don't forget to RSVP (smmeyers@cox.net) if you are going to join us for breakfast at Sarducci's in the San Juan Train Depot (9 am).  We'll need a count for the restaurant.  Others can join for the 10:30 drivers' meeting.
