STARGAZING
RUN
^...Wow a Miata
Constellation!

As usual we started off this run with dinner at the
"Hamburger Hamlet"

After regrouping with the rest of our Miata friends at the
"Closed" Coco's restaurant we all got a few run information
notes from Hal and we were off to the "Flying J".

We sort of took over the freeways with our almost
"40" Miata's. Of which we had 10 new members on their first run.

We thought that it might be a good time to start taking
pictures since it will be dark on the rest of the run!

<---Makes you wonder which way some of us were
going?--->

As you can see we pretty well dominated the freeway and
got quite a few looks and thumbs up!

No spokes showing in this picture ;-)

Here we gassed up and assembled at the Flying J. a
favorite gathering spot for this side of town.

I believe we had 40+ cars when we left plus one RX-8 and
one WRX. and a new red truck!

Well we got underway just as the sun was setting, We could
see a string of cars ahead of us. We were about 10 from the back.

Kind of reminded us of our other favorite run down in San
Diego, the Twilight Run.
That run we saw the sunset, this run we saw stars and constellations along with
quite a few shooting stars. Once up at the top of Mt. Pinos we had Hal give us
quite an education in astronomy, not to be confused with astrology ;-)
Many thanks to Hal Jandorf for a really
cool run (40+- in the mountains 90 in the valleys!)
