Twisted Weekend #1. Started in the parking lot with 19 cars! What a beautiful day it was too.

We wasted no time getting into the twisties for our first long day of left and right turns!
The pace was perfect, with sweeping turns, well paved roads and lots of Miata friends.

There were four or five new couples on their first run. 

We saw plenty of mountain lakes and streams.

Most of the time we were the only cars on the roads

Our first stop, a chance to run the track at Willow springs. We all got two laps on the  big track, "Cool"

Here we are lined up waiting to get on the track, Just a short wait and we were on our way.

Leaving the pit area we start off on our first lap. The first time on a track for many of our first timers. They were really excited to be able to do this on their first run!

We had the whole track to ourselves. Zoom Zoom what fun. 
How Dean arranged this; one only knows. ;-) 

Heading back into the pits, "smiles could be seen from the back", by the extreme distance between the ears of the people in front of us!!!!
Wheeeeeeeee!

This track time loosened up our arms and wits, for we were about to take on some of the twisitiest roads paved by man.
