DESCRIPTION:  Let's go for a drive out to Joshua Tree National Park.  We will meet in Redlands, hop on the freeway and head out to Indio.  After lunch in Indio, we will drive through Box Canyon, then cruise through the National Park.  Entrance fee is @ $15.00 or Park pass.  After admiring the largest concentration of Joshua Trees in the nation and photo ops with the unbelievable rock formations, we will have an early dinner in the Yucca Valley area before heading back home.

DIRECTIONS to starting point:  Make your way to the I-10 freeway in San Bernardino.  Head east to Tennessee Ave (about 20 miles east of the I-15 and 8 miles east of the I-215).  Exit and turn left - north - and go to Lugonia Ave.  Turn right, then turn right into the parking lot.  There is a Citgo gas station here, so make sure you have a full tank of gas.
