12th Annual Big Bear Run

Saturday October 5, 2002

Host: Doug & Inger Robertson

We started the day off with an old fashion country atmosphere. The breakfast had large portions and we knew it would last us all day! (And it did!)

There was a waterfall and that country feeling all around. Plenty of seating and plenty of our Miata friends to share such a wonderful day.

People came from all over for this run. We had 4 new couples. And cars came from as far away as San Diego, Palm Springs area, The west coast, and the Hi-Desert.

We filled the parking lot all the way around the buildings parking spaces.

I think the blues had the majority on this run.

Our run leaders, Doug and Inger

After receiving run directions we headed off on the run.

It was a beautiful day for a run. Perfect weather, perfect scenery, perfect company.
We drove on roads even the Big Bear people didn't know of!   Fantastic!

We stopped by the new "Discovery Center" in Big Bear.

This is a new addition in Big Bear and a great place to get information about the area incase you just happen to be in the area stop by.

There is a place to get a refreshing drink. Rangers and volunteers to answer your questions. And a beautiful view of the lake from their patio area with plenty of seating.

Parking was no problem, with clean free backdrop we just had to take this picture of all the Miata's against the blue crisp cool sky.

Here a train of Miata's wait for a train or should we say two! This was a funny situation but you had to be there to experience the "Two trains".

Well unfortunately all great runs must come to an end. But we all found our way to the "Rosa Maria's" restaurant for some great Mexican food. We filled the whole restaurant and mingled from table to table exchanging stories from the run and how it was another great,
