We will migrate from the far corners of the West on Friday and come together at Furnace Creek Ranch. Tom & Marna will host a hospitality suite in their room from 4:00pm to whatever time the socializing ends. Just look for us on the ground floor patio outside of their room.  Saturday offers numerous sites to explore, including Scotty’s Castle, Ubeheb Crater, Dante’s View, Badwater and Rhyolite Ghost Town. (For more about Death Valley, see http://www.death.valley.national-park.com/)

Then at 2:00 we will all regroup at Furnace Creek Ranch and caravan to awesome Artist’s Drive. For anyone who thought that Death Valley does not have Miata roads, they have not experienced the twists and dips of Artist’s Drive. It is a short road and best seen in the afternoon, before the sun is beginning to descend behind the Panamint Mountain Range.

In the evening, we will enjoy a private Western Barbeque Buffet at Furnace Creek Inn. We have a poolside banquet room reserved, which will be decorated in the western theme. The buffet is $40.00 per person, including tax and tip. The bar at the Inn will be available for alcoholic refreshment.

Sunday will be time to bid our friends adieu and head to our respective homes. It should be a relaxing weekend, with a great chance to visit with old friends and make many new ones.

Here are some of the pictures of the Banquet Room. Sort of like taken out of Scotty's Castle!

We will have a great view of the pool!
