| DESCRIPTION: Come on down for a neighborly day of turning wrenches, food, and driving at the Wrench, Eat, and Drive event! This event will incorporate three mini-events to make for a fun-filled day with your Miata friends, including a Mini Tech-Day, Potluck, and Mini Fun Run. The Mini Tech-Day will be appropriate for people who plan to do fairly simple jobs (5 hrs. or less). There is room for about 3-4 cars to turn wrenches (garage & padded driveway) and there will be some tools available for those who don't have any of their own. The Potluck will give us fuel to for the day's fun. Attendees are encouraged to bring a dish and/or drinks enough to serve 3-5 people. Plates, cups, and plastic utensils will be provided. Seating may be limited (I'll try to get extra chairs), so bring a picnic blanket; there's plenty of room. There will also be a BBQ serving up burgers & hot dogs. The Mini Fun Run will commence at 3PM for those who want to try out their new mods on the twisties. Depending on the size of the group, we may split into two groups (fast/scenic) to take a short 30-45 minute fun drive into the surrounding hills (Turnbull Canyon/Friendly Hills/La Habra Heights). Participants are welcome to attend all or part of the event. If you just want to drive, show up at 3PM for the mini fun run. See you there! |

| DIRECTIONS: (From Los Angeles, South Bay, San Gabriel) -Take the 605 freeway to Whittier (south of the 210, 10, and 60 freeways, north of the 5, 105, 91, and 405 freeways) -Exit the 605 freeway at Whittier Boulevard -Go East on Whittier Boulevard for about 5 miles until you reach the Santa Gertrudes/Russell signal (The Whittwood Mall & Bank of America on the left, Stats decorators on the right) -Turn left onto Russell Street -Turn left onto Shady Point Drive (the last driveway before the first stop sign, looks like the entrance to Friendly Hills Baptist Church) -The address is 10131 Shady Point Drive.
