If you love the smell of oranges and lemons, and beautiful Ojai Valley
scenery, you're gonna love this run. Lots of late blooming fruit trees and
beautiful lakeside scenery promise to give this ride an early hint of summer.
But don't let the sweet smells get too far past your windscreens, cause there's
plenty of fun and challenging twisties that promise to get your other senses
going (adrenaline) as we scream down and around the canyon roads and passes of
beautiful Fillmore and Ojai Valleys. Once your hunger for the road has been
quenched with a nice dose of lefts and rights, it's time to stop and feed faces
for lunch at a Boccali's Pizza
and Pasta, located at 3277 Ojai-Santa Paula Rd. (805-646-6116) Once
refueled, it's off again around beautiful Lake Casitas and ending up at
Starbucks, 5436 Casitas Pass
Road, Carpenteria. From here everyone will have
to choose if they want to return home via the 101 freeway or retrace their route
back to Moorpark through the twisties. This
is going to be an overall CALM run, yet there are spots where the hyper Miatas
can get down and rip it!!! This run has relatively minimal lights except for the
main town sections, and queuing up should be relatively easy. For those
wondering why this is called the KRAPROOM RUN, look in your rear view mirror as
you leave "Moorpark" (hint: spell Moorpark backwards)
