Hello Tom, Here is my story on our Miata. Sacramento Area Miata Owners Association (SAMOA)
I had long wanted another sports car, but which one was always the dilemma. I would have loved a Corvette. My wife liked them but found it to much of a car to handle. I wanted to go autocrossing, she wanted to enjoy drives in the hills. A friend told me to look at Miata's. I began my research in earnest. They autocrossed well, behaved well for the wife and were a lot of fun to drive. The real challenge was getting my wife interested in Autocross. In December of 2000 we found the perfect match for us, 93 C package with only 36k on the odometer. Gordie became ours, being a black and tan he reminded us of a Gordon Setter. We joined the Sacramento Area Miata Owners Association (SAMOA). One of the first events was an autocross school. We signed up immediately. The school hooked my wife so completely she went on to be the C Stock Ladies champion that year. We still compete and enjoy the weekend runs with the club. Recent additions (twin girls) to the family have limit our opportunities but will not take it away. Ken and Janet Breza
