It's been a while since SOCALM went to one of North OC's best Mexican restaurants. Founded in 1923, El Cholo features excellent Mexican cuisine priced at the $9 to $14 range in a casual, family-friendly atmosphere.

Directions:

Exit the 57 freeway at Lambert. Go West (towards Brea Mall). Continue on Lambert for about 2.8 miles. Turn right onto Harbor Blvd. Continue on Harbor for 1 mile. Turn left onto Whittier Blvd. Café El Cholo will be on your left hand side after about 1/4 of a mile. Lots of parking in the rear, under the big archway.
